This website sets no cookies. It writes one entry to your browser, and that entry is the record of what you told us you wanted.
Most cookie policies are written to justify a long list. This one is short because the list is empty: TruPriv sets no cookies on this website, not for analytics, not for advertising, not for convenience. We would rather say that plainly than bury it under categories that do not apply yet.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and hand back on your next visit. Related technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels, SDKs) do the same job by other means, and the law looks at what they do rather than what they are called. This policy covers all of them.
What this site actually stores
One entry, in your browser's local storage. It never travels to our servers, and it exists so that we do not have to ask you the same question on every page.

Because it is local storage rather than a cookie, it is not attached to network requests and cannot be read by any other site. Clearing your browser data removes it, and we will ask again the next time you visit.
For completeness: there is one password-protected page, used by our own staff to read the messages sent through this site, which sets a session cookie when someone signs in to it. That cookie is only ever created by signing in, so visiting this site never causes one to be issued to you, and it is readable only by our own server. Nothing above changes for you.
Third-party technologies
None. There is no analytics provider, no tag manager, no advertising network, no embedded video, no social widget and no chat script on this site. Even the typefaces are served from our own domain rather than a font CDN, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to anyone but us. Our Content Security Policy permits connections only to our own origin, which is what makes that hard to break by accident.
Why there is a Preference Centre at all
Because the honest time to build consent is before you need it. The four categories below are declared now so that if we ever introduce anything beyond strictly necessary storage, the machinery is already default-deny, granular and withdrawable, rather than bolted on in a hurry with everything pre-ticked.
- Strictly necessary. Serving this website, remembering your consent decision and keeping the site secure. Always on. This is the entry in the table above.
- Performance. Measuring page load and interaction speed so we can fix pages that are slow on mid-range devices. Not currently in use. Nothing in this category runs on this site today.
- Analytics. Counting page views and reading paths, so we know which parts of the DPDP hub are useful. Not currently in use. Nothing in this category runs on this site today.
- Marketing. Attributing enquiries and early access partner applications to the page that produced them. Not currently in use. Nothing in this category runs on this site today.
If that changes, the notice version changes with it and we ask you again rather than treating an old answer as though it covered a new question.
Managing your preferences
Accept, reject and granular choice are offered with equal prominence. Rejecting is never the harder path or the smaller button. You can change or withdraw any non-essential purpose at any time in the Preference Centre, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting, as Section 6(4) requires. Each decision is stored as a new versioned record rather than overwriting the last, so you can see your own history.
You can also block or delete storage in your browser settings. Nothing on this site breaks if you do: the free tools and every page work with everything refused.
Updates to this policy
If we introduce any cookie or comparable technology, this page is updated before it goes live, the table above gains a row naming it, and consent is sought fresh. Your decision is not permanent either: consent lapses and we ask again rather than assuming.
